Contenido del curso

Lección 1: Review of tenses and structures

In this class, you will review the present simple, present progressive, past simple, past progressive, present perfect, future with will, future with going to, and the first conditional, and improve your use of these tenses through conversational practice.

Lección 2: The past perfect

In this class, you will learn how to form and use the past perfect (had + past participle) to talk about actions that happened before other past actions. You will also practice your speaking skills through conversational practice.

Lección 3: The present perfect continuous

In this class, you will learn how to form and use the present perfect continuous (have/has been + verb-ing) to talk about actions that started in the past and continue to the present. You will also practice your speaking skills through conversational practice.

Lección 4: Relative clauses

In this class, you will learn how to use relative clauses with who, which, that, whose, and where to provide additional information about nouns. You will also practice your speaking skills through conversational practice.

Lección 5: The passive voice

In this class, you will learn how to form and use the passive voice (to be + past participle) in different tenses. You will also practice your speaking skills through conversational practice.

Lección 6: The second conditional

In this class, you will learn how to form and use the second conditional (if + past simple, would + infinitive) for imaginary or hypothetical situations. You will also practice your speaking skills through conversational practice.

Lección 7: Gerund vs. infinitive

In this class, you will learn when to use a gerund (verb + -ing) and when to use an infinitive (to + verb) after certain verbs. You will also practice your speaking skills through conversational practice.

Lección 8: Phrasal verbs

In this class, you will learn how to recognize and use common phrasal verbs in English. You will also practice your speaking skills through conversational practice.

Lección 9: Review

In this class, we will review the past perfect, present perfect continuous, relative clauses, the passive voice, the second conditional, gerund vs. infinitive, and phrasal verbs. You will also write a short story.

Lección 10: Review + pronunciation tips for Spanish speakers

In this class, we will review the past perfect, present perfect continuous, relative clauses, the passive voice, the second conditional, gerund vs. infinitive, and phrasal verbs. You will also learn key pronunciation tips for Spanish speakers, including the dark L sound and other challenging aspects of English pronunciation.
