clue [klu:] - a piece of information that helps solve a mystery

witness ['wɪtnəs] - a person who sees a crime or accident happen

crime [kraɪm]

steal [sti:l] - take a thing that is not yours

rob [rɑb] - steal from a place or person

murder ['mɜrdər] - the crime of killing a person; to kill deliberately

investigate [ɪn'vɛstɪgeɪt]

solve [sɑlv]

guilty ['gɪlti] - responsible for a crime

innocent ['ɪnəsənt]

prison ['prɪzən]

trial ['traɪəl] - the examination of a case in a court of law

victim ['vɪktɪm]

Steal and rob are different. We steal a thing (He stole my wallet) but we rob a place or person (They robbed the bank).
