Present progressive => now. I am working. She is eating.

Past simple => specific past time. I worked. She ate.

Past progressive => past descriptions, interrupted actions. I was working.

Used to / would => past habits. I used to work. She would always eat.

Present perfect => life experiences, recent results. I have worked. She has eaten.

Present perfect continuous => duration from past to now. I have been working.

Past perfect => before another past event. I had worked. She had eaten.

Future with will => predictions, spontaneous decisions. I will work.

Future with going to => plans, evidence. I am going to work.

First conditional => possible. If it rains, I will stay.

Second conditional => imaginary. If I had time, I would go.

Passive voice => subject receives action. The book was written.
