In Spanish, the R has one basic sound (the simple R), except when it is at the beginning of a word or is a double RR, where it becomes a trill.

In English, the R is completely different. To pronounce it, curve the tip of your tongue up and back, without touching the palate, and let the air flow over the sides of the tongue. Round your lips slightly.
