Sofía: What did you do last Saturday?
Tomás: In the morning I went to the beach. It was very sunny and the ocean was beautiful. There were many people. I was swimming when I saw a dolphin ['dɑlfɪn] (delfín)!
S: Really ['ri:əli] (¿de verdad?)? That's amazing [ə'meɪzɪŋ] (increíble)!
T: Yes! I was watching the dolphin when a big wave [weɪv] (ola) came. I fell in the water.
S: Were you OK?
T: Yes, I was fine [faɪn]. After that, I walked on the beach for an hour. The sand was hot and the sky was blue. Then I ate lunch at a restaurant near the beach. While I was eating, it started to rain.
S: Oh no!
T: It was OK. It stopped after ten minutes.
Puede parecer buena idea machacar un tema hasta dominarlo, pero alternar diferentes temas en una misma sesión de estudio funciona mejor. La variedad obliga al cerebro a esforzarse más, y eso favorece el aprendizaje.
