Marcos: Elena, what did you use to do when you were a kid?

Elena: When I was a kid, I used to live in a small town [taʊn] (pueblo) near the beach. I would always ride my bike to the beach with my friends. We used to play in the sand and build sandcastles. My brother used to collect shells [ʃɛlz] (conchas).

M: That sounds wonderful ['wʌndərfəl] (maravilloso)! Did you use to swim in the ocean?

E: Yes! I used to swim every day in the summer. In the winter, I would play soccer with my friends after school.

M: I used to live in a big city. I didn't use to go to the beach very much. I would always play video games with my brother and watch cartoons.

E: Did you use to play outside?

M: Sometimes. I would go to the park with my friends on Saturdays.
